Kimmie is a 14 year old Westie, turning 15 this summer. As she is an elderly dog she is quite slow and sometimes a bit wobbly on her feet but she does enjoy a short walk once or twice a day. Kimmie also enjoys spending time in our exercise field so she will need a home with a garden, so she can do lots of sniffing and exploring, and she loves a little run around if she’s feeling silly, but on the other hand she very much loves to be curled up on her bed dreaming.
She tends to do her own thing most of the time and is not a dog that particularly like being fussed but she does like company. Kimmie is very set in her ways and it takes a little while for her to trust new people but she will eventually come around, however she does not like other dogs so she will need to be the only pet in the house. The ideal situation for Kimmie would be an adult only home with no other pets, a garden she can wonder around in, an owner who can give her at most two short walks a day and most importantly a nice comfy bed to sleep in and lots of yummy treats.
She will need to be close enough to the sanctuary so that she can continue to see our vet.
