Lilly

Lilly came to live at WTR at the end of 2019. She had been found as a stray and after her stay in the Pound she came to us at the beginning of November. As we had no previous details, her age was estimated to be between 2 and 4 years old. Lilly was very friendly with people and acted young – bouncy, playful and affectionate. In her stay with us, she has been homed several times but each time, she has not settled well. Unfortunately, this meant she was destructive with furniture and is very adept at opening doors and cupboards. It’s possible that Lilly had never experienced a

home environment and finds it overwhelming.

We have now decided that the best home for Lilly is actually here at the Helen’s House. At the Sanctuary, Lilly is very settled in her own cabin and enjoys walks, time out in the field, sunbathing and playing in the training room. She particularly loves to go for a walk and then have a lift back to the Sanctuary (she sometimes does this when she’s not allowed to choose her route!)

Lilly loves to meet new people and makes sure they are thoroughly cleaned if possible with a good lick! She is incredibly intelligent and always enjoyed learning. She is getting older now but still spins and dances for treats, rolls over and plays dead – anything for a biscuit. The staff and volunteers all love her. Lilly features on one of our Christmas Cards – as the Star that she is!
