Teddy
Teddy is a 10 year old Shih Tzu. He came into WTR in November 2024.
He had been in the same home from a puppy but due to ill health the owner, became unable to care for him as needed. Consequently he arrived at Waggy Tails in a rather poor state of health. Suffering with hair loss, greasy skin, and infected ears. However looking at his past history he has had a skin condition from very young with various allergies. This needs to be constantly treated with special ointments and shampoos together with regular ear drops to keep the infection at bay.
After careful treatment by our vet and the WTR staff, his condition was much improved by the time he came to his new home in January 2025. He was then a very happy dog keen to play with toys (especially an old sock!). He loves meeting new people and going to visit friends. It appears that he may not have had much training on a lead as it’s a real struggle to get him to go for a walk on a lead. However, in a park where he can just walk along behind his owner, he’s very happy. He loves being in the car and has been on holiday trips with no problem.
Teddy is now happy living his best life and looking good!
