Billy is a sensitive, gentle 3 year old Jack Russell cross, who can be a little nervous when he first meets new people. However, with patience and kindness, his true personality shines through — a sweet, affectionate dog who forms deep bonds with those he learns to trust. Taking things slowly with Billy is key, and once he feels safe, he becomes a real sweetheart. Billy loves his soft toys and enjoys entertaining himself, and when he’s feeling confident, his joyful zoomies in the field are a lovely sight to see. On walks, he stays close, walking beautifully around your ankles, and he has a good recall, showing how responsive and curious he is as his confidence grows. He is generally good with other dogs and is happy to walk alongside them, though he can be uncomfortable if they get into his personal space. For this reason, calm dog interactions and respectful boundaries suit him best. Billy would need a quiet, understanding home with older (if any) children and adopters who are willing to give him time to settle at his own pace. He is slowly but surely coming out of his shell, revealing a loving and gentle companion who will reward patience with endless affection.
