Filbert Male Crossbreed
Filbert is a lovely 9 year old dog, who sadly came to us two years ago as his owner could not find accommodation for her and her dogs, together when her husband died. This is a tragedy that happens far too often with rented accommodation. So we took them in and homed them separately as they were very different and not a bonded pair.
Sadly the home that we placed Filbert in is coming to an end as the owner is moving up North and cannot take him with her. Poor boy.
He is a lovely dog – very reliant on his owner and loves people. He is quiet in the car, and settles well at night. However he is still anxious and does not like being left.
He is also not good with dogs that he does not know – having said that he walks with other dogs and once a week in a group, where afterwards they all go back to one of their homes for coffee and several dogs are there together indoors and settle down.
His owner walks him off lead, in the right environment and his recall, with her, is good.
